The workflow.

A closer look at the thinking behind the work.

An event platform serves two connected audiences: visitors finding events and administrators maintaining the information behind them. Listings, locations, calendars, and schedules need to fit together so a visitor can move from discovering an event to understanding its details.

This full-stack project brings those public features together with tools for managing events, artists, categories, amenities, and schedules. It also includes authentication, multilingual content, blogs, advertising, and live broadcasts.

The application I worked on.

02 / 01

Event discovery

Event listings, calendars, and maps provide different ways to explore the same event information.

02 / 02

Content and communication

Multilingual content, blogs, advertising, and live broadcasts support the platform beyond its event listings.

02 / 03

Administration

An admin dashboard manages events and the related artists, categories, amenities, and schedules.

03 / 05

Technology and implementation.

The project uses Laravel with a React frontend connected through Inertia.js. MySQL provides the relational database, Bootstrap supports the interface, Leaflet is part of the mapping stack, and AWS S3 is included for storage.

The breadth of the application makes the connection between public views and administration particularly important. Event listings are one part of the system; maintaining their related content and schedules is another part of the same product workflow.

How this work relates to your project.

This project is relevant if your product combines searchable public information with a substantial administrative workflow. A directory, booking-oriented product, or content platform may need a similar relationship between the public interface and the records maintained by staff.

For a new engagement, I would start by identifying the central records, the ways visitors need to discover them, and who is responsible for keeping them up to date. Those decisions help define the first useful version of the product.
