When Laravel is a good fit.

The details that make the difference.

A business application often starts with a few forms and grows into a network of roles, approvals, reports, and integrations. I build Laravel applications around those workflows, so the database, access rules, and screens serve the same purpose.

This service fits teams building a new product or extending an existing PHP application. We can scope a complete application, a new module, or a focused improvement to a workflow that is becoming difficult to maintain.

What I can build.

02 / 01

Business applications

Customer portals, admin dashboards, and management systems with validation, access controls, and reporting shaped around your team.

02 / 02

Marketplaces and commerce

Seller storefronts, product management, order workflows, and commission tracking for platforms with multiple participants.

02 / 03

Learning platforms

Course management, enrollment, assessments, and learner progress tracking, with administration tools for the people maintaining the content.

How I approach the implementation.

We start with the people using the application and the actions each role needs to perform. I map the core records and relationships, agree the first delivery milestone, and identify external systems that need to be connected.

During development, I keep request validation, business rules, and data access understandable. Query performance, background work, and caching are considered where the application needs them. The frontend can use React and Inertia.js or a separate API, depending on how the product will be used.

Before handover, we review the agreed workflows, error cases, and deployment requirements. The scope includes the documentation and operational details agreed for your project.

Working with an existing Laravel application.

For an existing codebase, I first review the affected features, dependencies, database structure, and deployment process. That gives us a practical basis for choosing between a focused fix, a gradual refactor, or a larger upgrade.

  • New features and integrations
  • Slow queries and application performance
  • Authentication and role-based workflows
  • Bug fixes, maintenance, and version upgrades

What to include in your project brief.

Share the main workflow, user roles, existing technology, and the result you want to achieve. If an application already exists, include the problem you are seeing and any relevant technical constraints. I can then help define a scope and estimate.
